NEW HARMONY, IN (WFIE) - The president and the general manager of the New Harmony Inn Resort & Conference Center have released a statement in response to recent drug arrests at the Inn.
Three employees of the inn, including an assistant manager, were arrested last Friday on meth-related charges. The Posey County Sheriff says the investigation that began in July.
The statement from the New Harmony Inn is addressed to the its customers and community:
"As owners and managers of the Red Geranium Restaurant and New Harmony Inn, we want to let our clientele, as well as the entire community know that we are very troubled at the recent drug arrests occurring on our property of those whose employment has been terminated.
We have a strict anti-drug policy and perform continuing random drug testing. We are reviewing our procedures to ensure that we do not have a similar occurrence in the future. We do not in any way condone association or use of illegal substances. We will work diligently to protect our clientele and our employees from exposure to the behavior and problems that often develops from the use of drugs.
We will move forward with positive changes in personnel and will continue to strive to provide the excellent level of service which has always been our objective."
