Overnight wreck shuts down Henderson Co. Road

HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) -

A man is recovering after a wreck that shut down a Henderson County road for two hours Tuesday morning.

The wreck happened around 1:30 a.m. on Kentucky 136 West in Smith Mills near Klondike Road.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Jonathon Michael Denton's vehicle went off the road, overturned and caught fire.

He was thrown from the car, was hurt and couldn't get away.

We're told a deputy pulled Denton to safety.

He was taken to the hospital.

The Sheriff's Office says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the wreck.
