Common assumptions are that employees with disabilities will lower employer's production and profit margin.
The truth; employees with disabilities miss less work, increase productivity and retention and bring more surprising benefits to jobs.
This work ethic tends to rub off on coworkers without disabilities.
With October being "National Employment of People with Disabilities Awareness Month," I challenge Human Resource professionals to take a second, closer look at a potential employee with a disability.
