EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The Evansville Housing Authority has been awarded nearly $65,000 in vouchers from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The money, which EHA applied for, will help provide rental assistance to 31 homeless vets instead of 15.
The veterans will also receive case management and clinical services provided by the VA.
EHA also received a Family Self-Sufficiency Grant Award renewal for nearly $24,000.
The goal of the FSS program is to enable qualifying families to increase their earned income and reduce their dependency on welfare assistance and rental subsidies.
