'Housewives' star: Shocked to be facing prison

NEW YORK (AP) -
A star of Bravo's "Real Housewives of New Jersey" says she was shocked by her sentence of 15 months in prison on conspiracy and bankruptcy charges.
Teresa Giudice (JOO'-dys) said the sentence was "very unexpected," as was the 41-month sentence doled out to her husband, Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice (JOO'-dys), last Thursday in federal court in Newark.
In a joint interview with her husband, she told Bravo's Andy Cohen that the whole ordeal has taught her not to sign contracts without reading them. She said she's always been too quick to trust people, but vowed in the future to be more cautious, especially in business transactions.
She told Cohen: "I need to understand things before I sign them."
The reality-show couple's interview is scheduled to air Monday at 9 p.m. EDT.
