Shelter promoting adoption with unique way

Daviess County Animal Shelter staff are taking a new approach to promote adoptions this fall.

The shelter says if any approved adopter brings in a large bag of Halloween candy, the shelter will lower the adoption fee for adult cats to five dollars. The shelter says the candy collected will be giving out to trick-or-treaters during next month Trail of Treats event held in downtown Owensboro on October 30th. For more information you can contact the Daviess County Animal Shelter at (270) 685-8275 or swing by and visit the shelter 2620 Calhoun Rd.
