Businesses raising awareness for childhood cancer

There's a fundraiser Saturday in Owensboro to raise awareness about childhood cancer. Several downtown businesses are hosting the event in honor of 10 month old Kylee Dempsy. Organizers say Kylee was diagnosed with Leukemia last month and is receiving treatment at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisvile. Organizers say Bee Bop's Burgers, Shakes, and Fries, Fetta Specialty Pizza and Spirits, Salsarita's Fresh Cantina, Texas Roadhouse, and Campbell's Club will be giving 10 percent of their sales on Saturday to the Dempsy family. Organizers say Texas Roadhouse will be selling gift cards. 10 percent of gift cards sale will go towards the family. At Nona's Downtown Market, organizers will be raffling off a six month free membership at the Campbell's Club, Fetta Specialty Pizza and Spirits gift cards, and Bee Bops' Burgers, Shakes, and Fries gift cards. The raffle takes place all day Saturday between 9am-5pm.
