BBQ teams compete at Diamond Lake Resort

Happening right now in Daviess County, The 9th annual Grillin' and Chillin' BBQ Cook off at Diamond Lake Resort.  More than 40 teams are battling for nine-thousand dollars in prize money. Judges will be giving points based on taste, appearance, and tenderness. The event kicked off this afternoon and lasts through Saturday afternoon. "At judging time from like twelve o'clock until 2 o'clock tomorrow it will be a pretty intense time. It will get pretty serious and friendships are put on hold until the judging and then everyone is slapping each other on the backs saying good job," said Brian Smith, Diamond Lake Resort Owner. Organizers say the public can sample the barbeque for six dollars. The fee will be given to local charities.
