Majority of charges in Madisonville pawn shop case dismissed

MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) - More than 300 charges have been dismissed by the prosecutor in connection with a Madisonville pawn shop case.

County Attorney Todd P'Pool tells us that the judge issued a direct verdict on all outstanding charges of falsifying business records and receiving stolen property because there wasn't enough evidence.

About 50 charges related to receiving stolen property remain against the five defendants.

P'Pool says they presented three days worth of evidence and 474 transactions of stolen goods.
