EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - A major campus expansion project is complete at Evansville's Memorial High School.
A dedication ceremony was held Tuesday to celebrate several new additions, including the state-of-the art Traylor Family Soccer Stadium.
Several dilapidated homes were demolished to make way for the additions.
Memorial soccer was ranked number one in the state this week, bringing pride to the school and their new facility.
"This project turned out so successful. Not only the donors came through to allow us to do what we did here, but it's just a really neat project, and it's so great for the whole area," said Wayne Henning, Campaign Co-Chair.
Other new additions completed during the 8-year project include the Koch Family Plaza, the Robert M. Kent Athletic Center, a new scoreboard and walkway.
The first game at the new soccer stadium is September 30.
