OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - If you were once a student at a Daviess County High School, but didn't finish, you may now be able to earn your diploma.
Daviess County Public Schools has a new program is designed for people who were short a few credits from graduation.
The district finds out what needs to be made up and gives the person a packet to complete to get their diploma. The program is free.
Community Relations Coordinator for Daviess County Schools, Mike Gray, says there are lots of reasons people have not have finished high school, and the district wants to give them the opportunity to do so.
"A lot of what I'll run into would be a person who's left school, missing half a credit or credit, and if one reason or another, you know, life catches up with them and they immediately get a job, they get married, or they may have gone into the military," says Gray.
