Evansville's First Winter Farmers Market Opens in October

The historic Bitterman building is being cleaned and updated for the market's grand opening on October 4.

The market will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. alongside the Lion's Den Mini Shoppes.

The man who's bringing the two new markets together is Lion's Den owner, Michael Miller.

"Well I thought what a great addition to the various crafts people and unique gift items that will be here to have food items, locally grown food items that can be purchased throughout the year", Miller said.

Bill Engelbrecht, owner of Englebrecht Home Grown Goodness think this new market will open up a lot of opportunities for Evansville.

Engelbrecht said, "It's a chance for other people to show what they got and do it in an environment where's its 72 degrees instead of freezing to death and just for the downtown area because there's really nothing like this downtown."

The winter market is still looking for craft and food vendors. For more information, you can contact Mike Miller at (812) 455-0299.
