"Kidpreneurs" prepare for 2nd annual Kids Flea Market

The Children's Museum of Evansville is bringing together younger-than-average entrepreneurs for the annual Kids Flea Market this Saturday.

The market is part of the museum's initiative to create new engaging and interactive learning experiences. The Flea Market will promote entrepreneurial skills and financial literacy and give kids a chance to earn their own money.

Children age 16 and younger will be selling their homemade craft items and items they've outgrown. One girl will be selling an original song she recorded. The money she makes from the CDs will go toward sponsoring a boy's education in Haiti.

The kids will be selling and earning alongside local adult vendors. Some will be selling children's toys, while Chik-fil-A and Bagelrama will provide food.

There will also be other activities for the kids who aren't doing business at the market. Heidi Garza will lead a Zumba class, Tales and Scales will do an interactive drum circle and Destination Play is performing a dance.

The Flea Market is free to attend  from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and will be located outside cMoe on Locust and 5th Streets.
