BOONVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The search continues for 27-year-old Kristy Kelley who has been missing since August 15.
Her parents talked to the media on Monday while friends and family gathered at Studio Bee to say how grateful they were for Joelle Lockwood's safe return.
Now they wish the same for Kristy.
Kristy's mom made a passionate plea for anyone with information to come forward and help bring her daughter home.
Kristy was last seen leaving the VFW post in Boonville.
Neither her or her car have been seen since then.
Family friend Randy Beard says he was with Kristy's parents when they heard the news about Joelle.
"Well I was there with Kathy and Todd and obviously they were very happy," said Randy. "Really renewed hope for Kathy and Todd. They were just so happy for Joelle and the fact that we immediately said Kristy's next. Let's bring Kristy home."
In the meantime, the Vanderburgh Co. Prosecutor's Office says it is now aiding in the search by opening up the WeTip line for information regarding Kristy Kelley.
Anyone with information - which will be kept anonymous- is asked to call 1-800-78-CRIME.
