Your Daily Drive for Monday, September 8

In Gibson County, crews will start deep patching Monday at the west junction of State Road 64 and 65.

This means all left turns at the intersection will be prohibited for a week or more.

Also, traffic on State Road 65 will not be able to go straight onto County Road 650-W, and drivers on County Road 650-W will not be able to go straight onto State Road 65.

This project includes a left-turn lane for westbound State Road 64, a right-turn lane for northbound State Road 65, a lengthened right-turn lane for eastbound State Road 64, a reduced super-elevation in the curve and a new traffic signal.

All construction is expected to be done by May 2015.

In Oakland City, a lane closure and bridge joint repairs on State Road 57 have been postponed.

INDOT says they'll let 14 News know when a new date is scheduled.

In Kentucky, the State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division is participating in a Nationwide Brake Check Detail.

A recent study showed more than 46 percent of all critical violations found during roadside inspections come from the braking systems on commercial vehicles.

The campaign began Sunday and ends  yesterday and ends September 14.
