Girl Scout troop making blankets for children in hospital

Some young patients at St. Mary's Medical Center are keeping warm, thanks to some new handmade blankets.

The girls from Girl Scout Troop 54 delivered more than 50 blankets to the pediatric unit at St. Mary's in Evansville.

In May the girls delivered more than 100 blankets to patients in the hospital at the time.

The troop is hoping to make 500+ blankets for the Cheer Guide of Riley's Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, and for children at St. Mary's.

The girls created a website called "Kuddles for Kids" as part of their quest for the Silver Award.
