OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - The Homeless Council of the Ohio Valley will host its first Empowerment Fair in Daviess County, KY, on Friday, September 5.
The fair is designed to help the 'precariously housed', which are people who do not have a place to live of their own and are at risk of becoming homeless.
Council representatives have noticed there are many of these people in the area and are hoping this event will help them get back on their feet.
The fair will offer a variety of resources including safe housing options, food and clothing aid, recovery services, job assistance and more.
Free haircuts will also be available and light refreshments will be served.
The fair will be held at the Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church Parish Hall, located at 514 East 4th Street in Owensboro.
People are welcome to stop by the church Friday afternoon between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m.
