EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Officials at Evansville Christian School tell 14 News they have signed agreements with Crossroads Christian Church and Epworth United Methodist Church to secure a location to build at Epworth and Lincoln.

The school will be the only inter-denominational Christian school in the Evansville area.

Officials say attendance has grown immensely in the Evansville Christian K-8 School, and there's been an outcry for more.

"Creating a learning experience that's not just going to have an impact on kids, not just going to have an impact on families, but truly I believe in the partnerships we've created are going to build a greater Evansville," said Mike Allen.

Officials say it will likely take three years for them to design the facility and curriculum.

The plan now is to house grades 7-12, which is between 300 and 400 students.
