Woman robbed leaving downtown ATM

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A woman was robbed leaving a downtown Louisville ATM.

Marc Smith, 23, was arrested on August 26 after a woman and attacked on S. 5th Street and Jefferson.

An arrest report says the victim withdrew money from an ATM located in the PNC Bank Tower and was confronted by Smith asking for information.

When the vicitm said she couldn't help him, Smith hit her several times and kicked her. Smith took the cash and ran.

A witness confirmed the information given by the victim and followed Smith, pointing him out to police.

Smith is being charged with robbery.
