Red, White & Blue Picnic

It's one of the most watched and hotly contested races in the country. And the two candidates  for U-S Senate in Kentucky, Republican incumbent Mitch McConnell, and Democrat Allison Lundergan Grimes blasted each other at the Red, White, and Blue Picnic in Owensboro.  We'll have the story.

Heat advisory extended

Yet another warm and muggy start to the day with some patchy fog possible in some areas, and another day that we can tack onto the first heat-wave of the summer. Temperatures will start off in the low to mid 70's again this morning and they will climb back into the low to mid 90's. With Heat index values back into the low 100's. For this reason the heat advisory has been extended for at least one more day.

METS changes

Some are saying it's time for big changes to the connection of METS buses and mobility vans. Deanna Allbrittin is live, riding the bus this morning to show us some of the improvements consultants are already recommending.

Owensboro Boy's and Girl's Club fundraiser

The Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club in Owensboro will sponsor its 32nd Steak & Burger event. This is one of their biggest fundraiser's, and will feature some famous guest speakers. Emily Busby is live with the details.

So enjoy your day, stay cool, and we'll see you on Sunrise.
