MDA fundraiser

14 News continues to do its part to support the research and treatment of Muscular Dystrophy, even without a national Labor Day telethon.  Today is our "14 Hours for MDA" to help raise money to fight this terrible disease.  Deanna Allbrittin will be live at Eastland Mall, where Mike Blake will host the event today.  We'll have all the details on Sunrise.

Heat advisory continues

It will be another Hot and humid day today. We'll start the day off with some patchy fog and warm and muggy conditions through the afternoon.  The temps will climb back into the low 90's with heat index values back between 98-103 through the afternoon. Byron has the 14 First Alert forecast.

Drug testing policy

Evansville City Council members will not have to face random drug testing, unlike many city employees. A drug policy resolution went before the council Monday but was defeated by a large margin.  The story on Sunrise.

Red, White & Blue Picnic

Kentucky politicians are gearing up for the annual Red, White and Blue picnic, set for tonight in Daviess County. Emily Busby is live with the details.

Emmy recap

And we'll hear from some of the winners at last night's Emmy awards show in Los Angeles.

So enjoy your day, and we'll see you on Sunrise.
