Evansville Museum looking for volunteers to give tours to visitors

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The Evansville Museum is looking for new tour guides. We've got information on how you can join their team.

Evansville Museum Docents, or tour guides, are specially trained museum volunteers who lead children and adults on educational adventures designed to complement the classroom experience and bring science, art, history, and anthropology to life.

The organization wants the volunteers by this Fall.

Anyone interested in joining the Evansville Museum Docent Association is invited to attend the Docent Welcome Coffee on Monday, August 18 from 9:30 a.m. 12:00pm.

The coffee is an opportunity to meet and socialize with current Docents and learn more about joining the program.

Becoming a Docent is a great opportunity for anyone who has an interest in art, history, science, anthropology, astronomy, or teaching, and wants to share that interest with others.
