Evansville investment adviser accepts plea deal

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

An Evansville business man pleads guilty to several counts of fraud. 

Prosecutors say Lynn Simon made that plea as part of a deal on Wednesday.

Simon pleaded guilty to 3 counts of fraudulent or deceitful act in the offer, sale or purchase of a security. He also pleaded guilty to unlawful sale of a security. 

The total amount of losses with those four investors totaled just over $100,000.

Simon operated two Evansville companies, the Insurance Shoppe and Financial Security Planning. 

He will be sentenced to 2 years in prison and 8 years work release. 

Simon is also required to pay restitution.
