Foggy conditions to blame for crash in western KY

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon says officers were called to a two car multiple injury crash on Sunday on Route 45 at the intersection of Route 408.

It happened around 6 a.m.

Officers say a vehicle was stopped for the stop light at the intersection. Another driver said she did not see the vehicle or the light for the dense fog. Her vehicle and hit the vehicle in the rear.

Three people from Hickory, Kentucky were taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by Mayfield/Graves County EMS.

The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Another driver sought medical attention at Jackson Purchase Medical Center and the extent of her injuries was unknown.

A deputy said the fog was very dense at the time of the crash and was a major contributor to the injury wreck.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Viola Fire Department.
