It was a big day out at Ellis Park today, for the 33rd annual Gardenia Stakes. the 1-mile, Grade 3 race, is for fillies and mares, 3-years old and up.
A purse of $100,000 dollars was on the line today, and it was a tight one, as four horses had chance to win it, down the stretch.
In the end, it was 5-year old filly, "Molly Morgan", beating "Tapit's World", by just a head, to win it, with Livi Makenzie, coming in 3rd, close behind.
Jockey Jesus Castanon was the winning rider, aboard the Dale Romans-trained horse, who went off as the 6-5 favorite.
