The 85th annual Evansville Courier and Press Men's City Golf Tournament is underway.
The first two rounds are being played this weekend with round one at Helfrich Hills on Saturday and round two at Fendrich Sunday.
Defending champion Logan Osborne and 20-14 Central grad Dylan Meyer are mixing it up with the likes of veteran golfers, Jerry Schreiber and Steve Pritchett.
One notable face missing this year is 10-time champion, Kevin Wassmer.
"Even though 10-time champion Kevin Wassmer has turned pro and isn't in the field this year, we have a very strong field. A lot of really good young players. So it's gonna be a dogfight to the end to see who wins this year," said Bob Walther, tournament director.
"I made a lotta putts. Hit the ball pretty well, I mean I didn't have any bad holes at all really. I just made a few clutch par putts that got me in at the end," said Phillip Riggs, co-leader at -2.
There's a four-way tie for the lead at 2 under.
Osborne and Meyer both shot 69's along with IU graduate, David Millis, and Oakland City grad, Phillip Riggs.
Alex Turner shot a 70 and is one shot back at -1.
