State social worker arrested, accused of using child as 'bargaining tool'

LEXINGTON, KY (WAVE) - Lexington police have arrested a state social worker accused of swapping drugs for an in-home visit.

Police say Chad Albert Buckley made a deal to get four oxycontin pills worth $100 in exchange for the visit. The police report shows he also paid $30 in cash and a $25 gift card.

Buckley works as a social worker for the Kentucky Cabinet of Health and Family Services. Court documents say he used the child as a "bargaining tool."

Charges against Buckley are conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance, official misconduct and bribery of a public servant.
