VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) -

One person has died after an accident Monday night in Vanderburgh County involving a dune buggy.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says two people were hurt when that dune buggy flipped in the 1200 block of East Baseline Road around 10.

They say the passenger, 18-year-old Taylor Hess, was trapped underneath the buggy, until her father, who was on the property at the time of the crash, was able to free her from the wreckage.

The sheriff's office says Hess was taken to Deaconess Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The driver of the dune buggy, Robert Duffy, was also taken to Deaconess. He is listed in fair condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
