Murfreesboro high school teacher arrested on public intoxication charge

MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

A high school teacher in Murfreesboro was arrested on a public intoxication charge over the weekend.

Alexander Grammer, a French teacher at Oakland High School, was booked Sunday afternoon.

Grammer has been employed at the school since 2008.

An official with Rutherford County Schools said employees are required to report arrests within 72 hours and that Grammer reported the arrest on Monday morning to his supervisor.

School officials said they will be monitoring the case.
