VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) -

The Board of Zoning Appeals voted to continue the public hearing involving Walmart's plan to open a new superstore in northern Vanderburgh County at the next meeting on August 21.

The proposed site is 31 acres northwest of the intersection of Boonville-New Harmony Road and State Road 57.

Walmart also wants to add a gas station and four outlots that would be businesses like restaurants or banks.

Some people who live the area of the proposed superstore say they're worried about traffic congestion and noise.

Others support the project as good for the local economy.
