Coroner: Fisherman apparently drowns in Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - Emergency crews are on the scene of an apparent drowning in Elizabethtown.

The incident happened just before 8 p.m. in an area off Main Street near Logan and Montgomery Streets. The Hardin County Coroner is on the scene.

A spokesman for the coroner's office said the victim is a man who had been fishing. It was not immediately clear where the drowning happened, but Buffalo Lake is in the vicinity of the staging area.
