Cat overpopulation is causing more problems at the Henderson Humane Society.
Officials tell 14 News they had to put down several kittens after they contracted an upper respiratory infection.
They're trying to adopt out as many healthy cats as possible to help relieve the overcrowding that sometimes causes the illness among the animals in the shelter.
"The shelter environment is really hard on baby animals. In general, we do our best to disinfect every surface, but it is really difficult," says Courtney Dosche with the Humane Society.
