HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

A Tennessee man is arrested in Hopkins County after a traffic stop.

The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office says they got a call about a suspicious vehicle on Monday.

According to the sheriff's office, the vehicle was reported to be driving erratically and had what looked like handcuffs and a badge in view from the windshield.

The sheriff's office says a deputy stopped the vehicle, driven by 41-year-old Johnny Groves, of Lebanon, TN, near Morton's Gap after seeing the erratic driving.

Deputies say Groves was drunk driving and arrested. He was taken to the Hopkins County Jail on several traffic offense charges.

The sheriff's office says the badge that was reported belonged to the Nashville Metro Police Department and had been reported lost a month ago.
