Henderson County farmers and restaurant owners are having an event tonight to get to know one another.
It's a sold out event of 150 people. They will be networking and discussing the importance of locally grown produce.
The event is hosted by "Kyndle."
It's the second year this has been put on at the Henderson County Fairgrounds.
Local restaurant owners say connecting with farmers is a great way to get and serve local foods.
Farmers say being able to sell their products locally, helps the local economy.
Local farmer, Amy Cates, says, "it's one of the things that my family has been doing for 25 years and its growing produce and providing locally grown produce to other people in the community."
Since Monday night's even is sold out, organizers encourage you to check out the Farmers Market at the fairground on Tuesdays, Friday's and Saturdays.
