A new one-of-a-kind adventure run is coming to the Ford Center this Saturday.
The run is designed to test endurance and strength through a series of stair runs, obstacles and fitness stations.
Race director Jim Bush says he brought the race to Evansville because the closest options for a similar stadium run is in Cincinnati. He also says it can be a fun way to inspire physical fitness.
The race begins outside and takes participants through typically inaccessible areas like VIP rooms and staff-only hallways. Everyone will also climb over a thousand stairs before tackling obstacles like the crawl, tires and climbing a van.
The course is designed for a variety of fitness levels. Like other runs, people are also allowed to walk. The harder obstacles also include an opt-out, allowing participants to go around them if they feel the obstacle is too difficult.
