Michelle Adams describes what she witnessed Tuesday afternoon like a scene out of a movie.
"It looked like he was doing 100 mph," said Adams. "I don't know he was going fast."
Police aren't sure where the conflict with drivers originated from. Witnesses said that the two were at Sissy's Liquor store about a block away before the crash scene. Richard Briney has worked there 19 years, he said the man in the blue car was a regular customer.
"Guy in blue car bought a Pepsi and some cigars and left," Briney said. "Just makes me feel bad."
The store surveillance showed the two cars outside, but not much else. Witnesses said the man in the silver car may have been law enforcement of some sort. LMPD said they are looking into that.
"We are hearing some of the same things, we are in the early stages of the investigation," said Dwight Mitchell.
Adams says the man in the blue dodge's mother showed up not long after and asked her what she witnessed.
"She said that just wasn't like her son," said Adams. "He just didn't do things like that."
The LMPD Traffic Unit is handling the crash investigation. Mitchell said police are talking to the driver of the Chrysler, who was not injured, to find out what happened.
The names of those involved have not been released.
