HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office says they have a person of interest in the death of a Hanson man.

Authorities say fire crews responded to a call at the home of James Simmons on Roscoe Veazey Road late Saturday night. Simmons' body was found inside.

An autopsy later determined Simmons had been shot in the head with a small caliber bullet.

The sheriff's office says Douglass Simmons, the victim's brother, was found with guns that were stolen from the trailer.

Douglass is being held on a burglary charge at the Hopkins County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He has not been charged with anything related to the homicide or arson.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
