Police arrest man accused of making marijuana 'butter'

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WAVE) - A Louisville man was arrested after investigators said they found drugs in his home.

Nathaniel Carr, 24, faces several charges in connection with Thursday's arrest.

Police obtained a search warrant for Carr's home in the 1300 block of Witawanga Avenue in Louisville, where they said they found marijuana packaged in shrink wrap, as well as about 25 ounces of loose marijuana. Carr's arrest report indicated he also had marijuana "butter" or "wax" that he allegedly manufactured.

Detectives said they found more than $5,200 in cash and a 9-mm pistol inside Carr's home.

They also said they found a 40-caliber pistol in his car outside. Both guns were loaded, the arrest report said.

Carr was charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of salvia.
