An early morning house fire in Madisonville leaves one family homeless.
The Madisonville Fire Department says the fire started around 5:15 a.m. Saturday.
Michael Fry with MFD says the house on Genevieve Dr. was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews got there.
Witnesses say the fire started silently, but it acted quickly taking over more than 80% of the house before anyone knew what was happening.
We're told the home owners were out of town at the time of the fire.
Fire officials say the fire began inside the house. They believe it was caused by an electrical problem.
The cause is still under investigation.
