Chandler church gets help replacing stolen food

Posted: Updated:

After the Chandler United Methodist Church food bank was robbed last night the Evansville Rescue Mission stepped up to the plate.

They loaded up a van today filled with several thousand dollars worth of non-perishable items like corn muffin mix, peanut butter, and vegetable oil to help replenish what they lost.

Tracy Gorman, CEO of Evansville Rescue Mission, tells us the community always steps up in situations like these and he feels they won't have much trouble in re-stocking their own shelves soon enough.

Action Pest Control has also helped out in replenishing the stolen food pantry items.
