19-year-old Daylyn Jones was indicted for attempted fetal homicide third degree after reportedly admitting he tainted a drink to try and end his girl friend's pregnancy.
That charge is a misdemeanor and the case will stay in district court.
The Hopkins County teenager charged with attempted fetal homicide was in court Wednesday afternoon.
Police say 19-year-old Daylyn Jones admitted to, "providing a tainted drink with the intent of terminating a pregnancy without the mother's knowledge."
Police say Jones put ibuprofen in a slushie for his girlfriend, she drank some, noticed a strange taste, and told her parents, who contacted police.
Detectives say they have Jones on surveillance video leaving a nearby gas station with the slushie.
The judge decided to keep Jones' bond at $250,000 cash, and the case will now head to the grand jury.
