EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Two people were arrested in Evansville, one for stealing a car and the other for hiding that person in a closet.

Evansville Police say 25-year-old Charles Montooth was the passenger in a car when he became angry with the driver.

Police say Montooth waved a can of gasoline at the driver and threatened to set the car on fire.

They say the driver got out of the car and that's when Montooth climbed into the drivers seat and drove off.

Police say Montooth ended up at an apartment on West Maryland where 30-year-old Alicia Rowland helped hide him in a closet.

Rowland has been released from jail but Montooth is being held on a $7,500 dollar bond.
