Princeton basketball players play in tournament for charity

PRINCETON, IN (WFIE) -

Basketball players in Princeton stepped onto the court this weekend to raise money for charity.

The two day basketball tournament, "Ball Till You Fall", was created by Nicholas Burns five years ago.

Burns says he started the event to give back to the community.

This year proceeds from the tournament are going to Relay for Life which raises money for cancer research.

Burns says almost 30 teams signed up for the tournament and they came from all over.

"A lot of everybody played against each other in high school and then there are locals everywhere," says Burns. "We have people from Madisonville, Kentucky, we have Vincennes, people from up north around Vincennes, and we've got Owensboro. Everywhere around."

Burns says the tournament will take place again next year.
