In Warrick County six families are getting new homes and Saturday they broke ground on the project.
Habitat for Humanity partnered with USDA Rural Housing to provide these homes for families in need.
Six new homes will be built on Mallard Circle with the help of the families.
The homes will have three or four bedrooms, two baths, and a two car garage all things one father says will be life-changing for his family of six.
"It's going to change everything," says recipient Jason McCray. "We live in a very very small house. We have a housing need and this is just going to be incredible for our family and it's going to be a change in lifestyle completely."
The houses are expected to be built within 6 to 8 months.
