Poseyville Eagle scout replaces sidewalks for local school

POSEYVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Pouring sidewalks is no easy task but one Poseyville Eagle scout made it his Eagle project.

Dalton Epley organized the entire project of getting sidewalks put in around parts of Poseyville's North Elementary School.

For the past year Epley organized the entire project and then measured and dug up the areas before acquiring a contractor to come in and help them pour and smooth out the concrete.

"It was a project that needed to be done because there was nothing growing underneath the overhangs that sit over it," says Epley. "It just looked like a big mess for the groundskeepers and everything. The sidewalk has fiber in it so it helps it from cracking."

Epley tells us he laid down 15 yards of concrete and it took nine days and 412 man hours to complete the project.
