(CNN) - In Sudan, a Christian woman who had been fighting a death sentence for refusing to renounce her faith is released once again.

Mariam Yehya Ibrahim was first released on Monday but then detained at the airport in Khartoum, along with her husband on Tuesday.

On Thursday, the couple said they were freed on bail, but that they are prohibited from leaving the country.

Sudan considers Ibrahim Muslim because her father was Muslim, but she contends she is Christian and has never practice Islam.
