HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

The free community clinic near Baptist Health hospital will be celebrating it's 10th anniversary Thursday.

The clinic serves uninsured patients from both Hopkins and Webster counties.

And it's led by third and fourth year med students from the University of Louisville.

Since 2004, the free clinic has grown from 150 patients to over 1,600.

"Being able to treat the whole patient. To have them come in a situation where they're needing help and being able to treat and diagnose the whole person. Getting them to a better state is what we always hope to accomplish," says Executive Director Mary Ann King.

The clinic runs solely on donations and their biggest fundraiser is coming up in just two weeks.  The 8th annual Hopkins County Community Clinic golf tournament tees off on July 11th.  The cost is $300 per team or $75 per player and includes greens fee, cart, meal, and gift for each player.
