CRAWFORD COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – Indiana State Police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that killed two men and injured a third.
According to police, Elbert Brooks, 48, of New Albany, was taken into custody around 10 p.m. Wednesday after police located him at an apartment complex in the 200 block of South Main Street in Marengo.
Police said they plan to charge Brooks with murder in Monday's triple shooting that happened at a home in the 2300 block of North County Road 200 West.
ISP said Nick Fields, 56, died later that day at Indiana University Health in Paoli from a gunshot wound to the head. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Cory Harris, 25, who also suffered a gunshot wound to the head, died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday at University of Louisville Hospital. Sgt. Philip Hensley said a third gunshot victim, 29-year-old Daniel Smitson, was shot in the mouth as was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment.
Davidson was last seen in the Marengo area Wednesday evening.

ISP said both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Davidson or Carpenter is asked to call 911.
