Organizations partner to "Stuff a Caddy" for kids

NEWBURGH, IN (WFIE) -
Tri-state businesses and organizations are partnering to "Stuff a Caddy" for kids Wednesday.

Romain Cadillac is providing the Cadillac SUVs to fill with school supplies.

Volunteers from Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union, Youth First and the Web.com Tour Wives will be at the Newburgh Walmart collecting donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Youth First President Parri Black says this is a way to help low-income kids start school with confidence.

Items they are collecting include:
  • uniform pants (khaki or blue)
  • uniform solid color polo shirts
  • socks
  • underwear
  • belts
  • backpacks
  • glue sticks
  • #2 pencils
  • pens
  • 2-pocket folders
  • washable markers
  • notebooks
  • erasers
  • loose-leaf paper
  • 1" or 1 1/2" binders
  • pencil pouches
  • bottled water (small)
  • granola bars
  • peanut butter or cheese crackers
