The Western Kentucky Botanical Gardens kicked off their fifth annual Dazzling Daylily Festival. Several hundred people came to the garden this evening for hot air balloon tethered rides, live entertainment, and food. Organizers say the festival is a way to draw people to the garden to enjoy its beauty. The garden has a nationally recognized hybridized daylily garden. "
"That's the whole purpose of this garden is for people to enjoy it, to get the people out here to see it, maybe for the first time and they don't know it's even here. What we find is that people who have been here are repeat visitors," said Robert Smiley, Western Kentucky Botanical Gardens.
